Have a blast while learning at the exciting and educational New York Hall of Science!

This hands-on technology center features over 450 interactive exhibits that teach you about science with fun and engaging activities. The NYSCI has served over a half million students with their educational programs and high-tech facility. Children of all ages are welcome to explore the 30,000 square feet occupied by the Science Playground from March through December. 

Highlights

Design Lab
Children are able to gain expertise as creatives through experimentation and collaboration when they visit NYSCI's 5 activity areas within the Design Lab.

Scattered Light
Using multi-colored flagging tape and the rays from the sun shining through the roof, the entrance of to New York Hall of Science displays an illushing of light scattering.

Life Beyond Earth
Use a set of interactive stories to navigate between extremes of the Earth's conditions and find out what may be living outside of our planet.

  • The New York Hall of Science was originally built to be a pavilion for the historic World's Fair in 1964.
