August's warm weather welcomes visitors who want to enjoy walking the streets of New York City and visiting some of it's great parks, and the many exciting summer activities in the city. Being in a city full of tall buildings can make the wind feel colder and stronger than normal, so be sure to pack appropriately for the weather.
What to Wear: boots or galoshes - to keep your feet warm and dry
dress in layers - it will typically be colder in stores, subways and attractions, but it is nearly impossible to visit New York City without spending time outside, so you'll want to ensure you're warmly dressed for walking around. Pack an umbrella - you'll be happy to have it when it starts to rain

Broadway Week - Tickets go on Sale 18th of August,
Bryant Park Summer Film Festival -Movies are show on a large screen in Bryant Park at dusk on Monday nights from June through August. Access to the grass for blankets and picnicking is available at 5:00 p.m. Bryant Park films begin at sunset, typically between 8 and 9 p.m. If the weather is uncooperative, shows are canceled and will not be rescheduled.
