Shearwater Sailing

For something different, see Manhattan by Sail! on the 1929 Shearwater, an 82-foot double-masted Great Gatsby Era sailing yacht. Feel the gentle breeze in your face as the sails fill and glide you past the Statue of Liberty and around the tip of Manhattan. Nothing beats your view as you sip your beverage and enjoy the sound of a sail rustle with the water all around. The Shearwater departs from the North Cove Marina (Battery Park City) at the World Financial Center from May through November 1st. Public sails last 1.5 - 2 hours.
