Founded by Dr. Betty Shabazz, the former Audubon Ballroom has
been restored into a 6,000 square foot state of the art facility. The
Shabazz Center’s mission extends the vision of civil and human rights advocated by El Hajj Malik El Shabazz-Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz. Major public art work grace the premises and six touch tone screens offer comprehensive and interactive data on these two courageous leaders. Film screenings, musical performances, panel discussions, exhibitions, and book signings are some of the many events sponsored at The Shabazz Center.
