Bronx Zoo

Experience wildlife at the world-famous Bronx Zoo, the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States. Award-winning, naturalistic habitats include Congo Gorilla Forest, an African rain forest that’s home to more than 20 lowland gorillas, and JungleWorld, an Asian tropical rain forest that’s home to gibbons, tapir, langurs and other Asian species. Get nose-to-nose with Siberian tigers at Tiger Mountain, a year round home for these amazing and endangered big cats. Visitors can see enrichment demonstrations with the cats and here “tiger talks” three times daily. African wild dogs joined cheetahs, lions, zebras and other animals at the Zoo’s African Plains. Seasonal exhibits include Butterfly Garden, the Children’s Zoo and Wild Asia. The Zoo is open every day of the year with a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits.
